Flights to Cabo Verde
Cabo Verde is well served with direct connections from the UK (London, Manchester, Birmingham), many european hubs (including Amsterdam, Lisbon, Brussels and more), and the USA (Boston and New York).
International airports are located on four islands – Sal (SID), Boa Vista BVC), Sao Vicente (VXE) and Santiago (RAI).
COVID entry requirements
Travellers with a recognised vaccine certificate require no COVID test to enter. Unvaccinated travellers must show a negative antigen or PCR result obtained within 72 hours of arrival. All international passengers must complete a health screening form online.
The airport entry and security tax is €30 and payable online prior to arrival (beat the airport queues!).
Getting to Boa Vista
The island of Boa Vista (BVC) is now served with regular flights operated by Tui from London (LGW), Manchester (MAN), Dusseldorf (DUS), Prague (PRG), Amsterdam (AMS), Brussels (BRU).
Boa Vista can also be reached by way of a 30-minute internal flight from the capital Praia (RAI) or by boat (2 hours) from Sal (SID).
Getting to Sal
The island of Sal (SID) is well connected with daily flights to Lisbon (LIS) with SATA and TAP Portugal which connect with most european hubs.
There are regular direct flights as operated by Tui from London (LGW), Manchester (MAN), Birmingham (BHX), Dusseldorf (DUS), Prague (PRG), Amsterdam (AMS), Brussels (BRU), Paris (ORY).
Sal can also be reached by way of a 30-minute internal flight from the capital Praia (RAI) or by boat (2 hours) from Boa Vista (BVC).
Getting to Sao Vicente
Sao Vicente (VXE) is well served from Amsterdam (AMS) directly with Tui and also Lisbon with TAP Portugal – although these flights remain over-priced due to the lack of route competition.
